Thompsons were Founder Members of the Irish Association of Funeral Directors and John Thompson is a Past-President of the Association.
Thompsons are Members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, one of the World's largest Associations of professional Funeral Directors.
Three of Thompson's personnel are fully qualified members of the British Institute of Embalmers.
Thompsons are the only Funeral Directors in Ireland, and one of only a few in the World, to achieve the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard.

Reposing in the Mortuary Chapel, St. Joseph's Home, followed by Reception into the Convent Chapel on Thursday at 5pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 10.30am. Funeral afterwards to Piltown Cemetery.

Removal from Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford, on Sunday evening at 6.15pm to Ballybricken Church. Requiem Mass on Monday at 10am. Burial afterwards in Slieverue Cemetery.
Mr. Kevin O'Donnell, Kilronan, Butlerstown, Co. Waterford, who died on Friday 25th November, 2016. Removal from Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Tuesday morning at 11.30am to Butlerstown Church for Requiem Mass on arrival at 12 noon. Followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
